THIS IS SILK Giveaway: Official Rules and Terms

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Promoter
The promoter is THIS IS SILK Limited, trading as THIS IS SILK, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11188375, whose registered office is at 14 Feathers Place, Studio 20, Meantime Studios, London, England SE10 9NE.) (“THIS IS SILK”, “we”, “us”).

2. Eligibility
2.1 The giveaway is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom and the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are aged 18 or over (or the age of majority in their state of residence, if higher) at the time of entry.
2.2 Employees, contractors and agents of THIS IS SILK, their immediate families and members of their households, and anyone professionally connected with the giveaway, are not eligible.
2.3 Entrants must have a public Instagram account so that we can verify entry.
2.4 We may ask the winner for proof of age, identity and residence. If they cannot provide it, we may disqualify them and select another winner.

3. Entry period
The giveaway opens at 12.00 (midday) GMT  (8 am ET) on 28th October 2026 and closes at 23:59 GMT (6:59pm ET) on 1 November 2026. Entries received after the closing time will not count.

4. How to enter
4.1 To enter, during the entry period: follow @thisissilk on Instagram, like the giveaway post and tag one friend in the comments on that post.
4.2 Entry is free. You only need an Instagram account, which is free to create.
4.3 Each comment tagging a different friend counts as a separate entry. Comments tagging the same friend more than once count as one entry. 
4.4 Entries that are incomplete, illegible or do not comply with these rules will be disqualified.

5. Prize
5.1 There is one prize: Silk Cream Cleanser 100 ml, Power Up Silk Concentrate 5 ml, Rich Silk Cream 50 ml, Silk Face Oil 30 ml, Pure Silk Pillowcase, 2 x Silk Hairband. 
5.2 The approximate retail value is £500 / US$670.
5.3 The prize includes delivery to a UK or US address, all duties paid by us. It does not include anything not stated above.
5.4 The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. If any item becomes unavailable, we may substitute an item of equal or greater value.
5.5 Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

6. Winner selection and notification
6.1 The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries on 2nd November 2026, using a random selection tool that produces verifiably random results.
6.2 The winner will be notified by direct message from the official @thisissilk Instagram account within 3 days of the draw. We will never ask for payment, bank details or passwords. Please report any account impersonating us.
6.3 The winner must reply within 72 hours of notification and provide a delivery address and any information reasonably requested. If they do not, or if they are ineligible, they forfeit the prize and we will select an alternative winner at random.
6.4 The prize will be dispatched within 28 days of the winner confirming their details.

7. Announcement of winner
7.1 We will announce the winner by updating the caption of the giveaway post.
7.2 For 3 months after the draw, anyone may request the winner’s surname and county (UK) or state (US) by emailing evie@thisissilk.com. The winner may object to this information being published or made available, in which case we will provide it to the Advertising Standards Authority if required.

8. Taxes
We will pay all delivery costs and any customs duties and import taxes on the prize. The winner is responsible for other taxes which may arise from receipt of the prize, including income tax. 

9. Instagram
9.1 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
9.2 By entering, each entrant fully releases Instagram and Meta Platforms, Inc. from all liability in connection with this promotion.
9.3 Any questions or complaints about the giveaway should be directed to THIS IS SILK, not Instagram.

10. Personal data
10.1 We will use entrants’ Instagram usernames and comments, and the winner’s contact and delivery details, only to run the giveaway and deliver the prize, in accordance with UK data protection law and the privacy notice on our website. 
10.2 We will not add entrants to our marketing list unless they separately opt in.
10.3 We will not use the winner’s name or image in publicity beyond the announcement in section 7 without their consent.

11. Liability
11.1 To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or not received for technical reasons, including any failure of Instagram.
11.2 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from entry into the giveaway or acceptance of the prize, except where it results from our negligence or breach of these rules.
11.3 Nothing in these rules limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

12. General
12.1 By entering, entrants agree to these rules.
12.2 We may cancel, suspend or amend the giveaway if circumstances beyond our reasonable control require it, and will do so with minimum disruption to entrants. We will notify entrants of any change via the giveaway post.
12.3 We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant we reasonably believe has breached these rules or acted fraudulently.
12.4 These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales. UK residents may also bring proceedings in their own part of the UK. Nothing in these rules affects any mandatory consumer protections available to US entrants under the law of their state of residence.
