Founder's Story
“As a barrister for 15 years, I take an evidence-based approach to skincare. I was diagnosed with a rare skin condition when I was 18 and began sleeping on a silk scarf laid over my pillow to soothe my inflamed skin. When my condition flared up again in my 30s, I began researching at the British Library in London to try and find out why the silk was helping.
I found a world of medical literature on silk’s long history as a wound healing agent, and its ability to repair our skin. Further research unearthed its extraordinary regenerative qualities and I began working with leading cosmetic and pharmaceutical scientists to incorporate silk into skincare. In 2023 we developed SF-VII®, an extraordinary peptide which was proven in in-vitro clinical tests to outperform a market-leading peptide on collagen synthesis.
