“I began sleeping on silk scarves laid on my pillow when I was 18, when I realised that silk was helping my inflamed and sensitive skin. When I returned to silk in my 30s, I wanted a silk pillowcase to match the thick, lustrous silk I recalled from my youth. I set out to source the finest quality silk I could, and visited the mountainous Jiangsu Province in China, which has been making silk for hundreds of years, on a research mission. Here, I found the silk I wanted, an exceptionally fine but thick silk, and asked them to refine it for an exquisitely smooth finish.

Best silk pillowcase you can get

I have already commented that I wanted to get something to help with my skin and hair which was suffering due to health issues. This is Silk offered it all. I initially tried the pillowcase and cleanser. They were my WOW moments. I find it difficult to sleep when I don’t have my silk pillowcase case. I have several now. I have given several as presents and they have seen the light so to speak as to how special they are especially when your hair needs some TLC or is curly or like with friends and family it can get the frizzies very easy but they report that it’s a complete saviour. My hair is in better condition, it definitely isn’t as dry and straw like so I’m a very happy bunny . The pillowcases are just amazing and so easy to care for. I have several so I always have one to use!! You have to get one. You’ll never understand why you didn’t buy one earlier.

I bought this as a Birthday present for a very good friend. She has told me I must buy one. Beautifully packaged, she said it keeps her face cool and helps her sleep so much better. She was thrilled, so much so, I now feel the need to buy one for my mother and one for myself.

I spent considerable time looking at various silk pillowcases and am very pleased that I decided to buy this one. It isn't the cheapest but it's a lovely quality silk and is great to sleep on. I saw comments elsewhere about people finding silk pillowcases slippery but I don't find this to be the case. I can see me buying a second so that I'm not without while it's in the wash and so that I have one to take away with me on holiday.
